A lot of people say that a boudoir session is a “once in a lifetime” experience.
I say: Fuck That.
It’s true. A boudoir experience is one that I strongly feel every woman should have. There is nothing more powerful than a woman leaning in and owning her power. There is nothing more empowering than being able to see depictions of yourself, reflecting back an image of beauty and sensuality to serve as a reminder on days when you feel like you’d rather be invisible.
But “Once in a lifetime” should really be whenever you damn well feel like it.
You don’t need a person to gift your images to. You don’t need an anniversary to celebrate.
What you need to do is to stop making excuses for why you can’t treat yo’self.
Miss N and I made magic the first time that she came in wanting to do a session to celebrate herself. The second time was even more amazing than the first.
With each experience I find that the woman who came to me before is not the same woman standing in front of me now. She has changed. There was a shift inside of her, however small or large, that altered how she viewed herself and reminded her that it’s okay to feel worthy.
After her session, Miss N said that she realized it had been a big part of her self care. It allowed her to be present in the moment, focused on herself instead of everything life is throwing at her. It was the perfect reminder to nurture and love herself so that she can serve as an example to her daughter.
She is committed to self growth and self love. And watching a woman learn to love herself is truly a powerful experience. I am so happy that I was able to be a part of it!
