You may not be able to enjoy your favorite restaurant and a movie in this age of social distancing, but that doesn’t mean the romance has to die!
Here are Five date Night Ideas that you can do with your partner to get you through the quarantine blues.
Couples Edition
1. Go Geocaching!
Movement is so important during times like these, not just for your physical health but for your mental health as well! Take time to get outdoors with your partner (make sure you adhere to social distancing guidelines) and enjoy a walk or bike in the park or around the neighborhood while you work together to hunt for a local Geochache search! You can find hidden treasures in your very own neighborhood!

2. Striptease
Put on your favorite tunes and pull up a chair! You and your partner will take turns releasing your inner stripper and perform a dance. You can make this as steamy or as funny as you want! You can incorporate things around the house to make it more exciting. That pillowcase can double as a blindfold!
Not sure how to move? Perhaps this free beginner burlesque chair class can spark some inspiration!
3. Pillow Fort
When I was sick with the flu, P cleared out all of the furniture from the living room and set up an air mattress, lit a fire, and prepared some snacks. We spent the night cuddled under blankets watching TV. It was our own personal dinner and a movie, but with much comfier clothes!
Grab the couch cushions and round up all of your pillows! Create a cozy spot for you and your partner to cuddle up and enjoy a new movie or series together!
4. Eye Gazing and Conversation
Put the phones away and tune out any distractions while you enjoy some solid connection.
Let your partner know that you have set aside an hour to just enjoy each others company.
Begin by practicing some eye gazing.
Sit facing each other and commit to looking into each others eyes for 2-4 minutes.
Sound uncomfortable? It is until it isn’t.
By facing each other and allowing yourself to be seen and fully taken in you introduce a level of vulnerability and closeness that can be quite revealing.
After connecting through eye gazing, try asking each other questions to better know your partner.
Now sure what to talk about?
These 36 Questions have been shown to reveal a lot about ourselves while fostering closeness with your partner.
5. At Home Spa Day
We could all use some self care! Why not pamper your partner?!
Fill up a tub full of warm water and soak your feet. Prepare an at home face mask using these basic ingredients! Paint each others nails (don’t worry if somebody messes up, who else is going to see?!). Grab some oil and give each other a massage.
I hope these tips spark some inspiration to keep you feeling close and connected with your partner during these times!
