If you are anything like me, this social distancing has been filled with a TON of emotions.
Who would have thought that social isolation would have me feeling disconnected with myself?! But it is during these times that I remember to lean in and truly find myself again.
I lean into the knowledge that I have learned over the last couple decades of life that have helped me navigate through some pretty challenging obstacles and come through stronger than ever.
We could all use a little Mindset Mastery to help us navigate through the bullshit.
I love babes who choose to take charge of their lives and own their happiness! Which is why I am bringing these tips to you for free!
Day 1: Mindfulness Matters
Studies show time and time again just how beneficial mindfulness is on your physical and mental health.
Mindfulness is the act of being conscious and aware of your present experience.
I’ve been working from home for the last 10 years, with the last 7 of those spent working with a rambunctious little boy. I have found that how I start the day sets the stage for how successful the day will be. If I start off in a funk, it is very hard to shake that feeling. I end up feeling a lack of focus or motivation.
Shifting my focus the first thing in the morning has been a MASSIVE help in waking up with intention!
I start each morning with some mindfulness work. By asking myself some of the following questions I am able to check in with myself and see where I will be focusing my energy for the day.
To be answered in the morning:
I am grateful for . . .
What would make today great?
I am . . .
To be answered at night:
3 amazing things that happened today…
How could I have made today better?
Day 1 Challenge: Mindfulness Matters Homework
Commit to answering the above questions every day for 7 days.
Take time to reflect on the week’s gratitudes and affirmations.
Life kicks us around. A lot. Between the daily demands of existing and the trials we experience, being a human is hard. Being a woman is hard. Do this, do that, change this, fix that – it can feel incessant. Throw in kids and divorce and things can get even more complicated. Miss M wanted […]
Sometimes the biggest reason to do a boudoir session is to have something to share with your significant other and that’s something we’re happy to help out with! One of the reasons our studio is so unique is how important sex-positivity is to us. We are loud and proud and love to sing it from […]
Did you know that you can book multiple boudoir sessions? This gorgeous lady has come to me THREE times. THREE. And she kills it every time. It’s an honor that I get to photograph and empower women. Getting to do it multiple times? Incredible. The change I get to witness after a session is truly […]
