If you are anything like me, this social distancing has been filled with a TON of emotions.
Who would have thought that social isolation would have me feeling disconnected with myself?! But it is during these times that I remember to lean in and truly find myself again.
I lean into the knowledge that I have learned over the last couple decades of life that have helped me navigate through some pretty challenging obstacles and come through stronger than ever.
We could all use a little Mindset Mastery to help us navigate through the bullshit.
I love babes who choose to take charge of their lives and own their happiness! Which is why I am bringing these tips to you for free!
Day 1: Mindfulness Matters
Studies show time and time again just how beneficial mindfulness is on your physical and mental health.
Mindfulness is the act of being conscious and aware of your present experience.
I’ve been working from home for the last 10 years, with the last 7 of those spent working with a rambunctious little boy. I have found that how I start the day sets the stage for how successful the day will be. If I start off in a funk, it is very hard to shake that feeling. I end up feeling a lack of focus or motivation.
Shifting my focus the first thing in the morning has been a MASSIVE help in waking up with intention!
I start each morning with some mindfulness work. By asking myself some of the following questions I am able to check in with myself and see where I will be focusing my energy for the day.
To be answered in the morning:
I am grateful for . . .
What would make today great?
I am . . .
To be answered at night:
3 amazing things that happened today…
How could I have made today better?
Day 1 Challenge: Mindfulness Matters Homework
Commit to answering the above questions every day for 7 days.
Take time to reflect on the week’s gratitudes and affirmations.
There’s this bizarre notion that I’ve seen fairly often among my clients and it’s this: “LeZandra takes great photos, but I don’t think it will work for ME.” Boudoir is for everyone. Every type, every body, every style, every personality. A huge part of what I do is getting to know YOU and creating your […]
When I say that almost every single client is worried that this process intimidates EVERY. SINGLE. CLIENT. I’m not kidding. The hardest part of being a boudoir photographer is seeing how prevalent low self-esteem is – regardless of size. The best part of being a boudoir photographer is being able to squash those insecurities and […]
Societal pressures to meet a certain “ideal” are bad enough, but when you add criticism from your partner? It takes on a whole other level of intensity. Miss M spent far too much time hearing she wasn’t good enough and finally made the decision to walk away. As a result of all that mental fuckery, […]
