Why You Should Do a Couples Boudoir Session?

There are many reasons why couples sign up for a boudoir session together. 

When L came to my studio, she was struggling to see herself as sexy after weight gain and worried about coming across as awkward in her shoot. We spent some time unwinding during hair and makeup. We talked about their relationship and how it has evolved over the years. They have known each other since high school and have both changed so much!

After getting to know her and her partner, they were able to relax, open up, and have a great time!

Why did you decide that you wanted to do a boudoir session?

“I did my first boudoir session when I was at my heaviest weight in an effort to reconnect with myself, and find my ability to create a sexy state of mind despite the way my body looked. After that I was hooked. I had been working with LeZandra and got to see how beneficial couple sessions could be so I decided that we had to do one.”

Relationship coaching is a HUGE part of my process. Many couples have aspects of their sexuality that they’ve never explored. My goal is for couples to break through those barriers in a safe and comfortable space. Whether it’s roleplay or BDSM, I love helping couples feel comfortable exploring new techniques for the bedroom during their session.

 

How were you feeling before your shoot? Any thoughts going through your head?

I was absolutely anxious. Public intimacy is not something that I am super comfortable with but I have had the unique opportunity to see LeZandra at work with multiple couples, and definitely trusted her to create some bad ass images with us.

It’s important to make time for your relationship and not let romance and intimacy fall by the wayside. As a sex coach in training, I will focus on what fuels the fire in your relationship during your session. Now that you’ve had your own photo shoot, how was it?

It was amazing just like I knew it would be! We talked about our likes and dislikes as a couple and individually which helped guide LeZandra into creating custom images with purpose, build connection between my husband and I. I highly recommend to any couples, regardless of how connected you both feel at the time. it was like two hours of foreplay and who doesn’t love that?!

Not everyone is born loving the way they look. I get that. Loving your body is HARD when you are bombarded with messaging that says you are not good enough. 

My job as your photographer is to help you focus on what you LOVE about your body. I do that by hiring a team of professional hair and makeup artists dedicated to creating a look that you love. How have you changed as a person since your boudoir session?

It’s easier for me to look at myself as a sexual human being. It’s really easy during sex to get in your head, especially as a woman. Looking at the images from our couples, shoot reminds me that we are hot as fuck, and the only thing I need to do is just enjoy myself while tending to both my needs, and my partners needs.

I guarantee that all of those things add up to a much bigger investment than a Boudoir photo shoot. It’s an experience unlike anything else and it’s incredibly empowering. It allows you to see yourself from an outside perspective the way that other people see you, and that shit is super powerful.
