Preparing for your boudoir session is an exciting journey, but it’s natural to have a few questions along the way. From wardrobe options to how the session flows, I’m here to ensure you feel fully prepared and ready to step into this empowering experience. Below, I’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions to help you feel confident and at ease as you plan your session.
1. What Should I Wear?
You’re welcome to bring your own outfits, or you can take advantage of our fully stocked Studio Wardrobe! Our closet is constantly updated with stunning pieces in various styles and sizes, so there’s something for everyone.
In addition to outfits, we also provide gorgeous shoes, jewelry, and accessories to complement your look. Whether you bring your favorite lingerie or rely on our curated collection, we’ll make sure your wardrobe highlights your personality and makes you feel incredible.
2. Is Hair and Makeup Included?
Yes! Every session includes complimentary hair and makeup services by one of our professional stylists. These talented artists are handpicked not only for their skills but also for their ability to make you feel comfortable and confident.
From soft and natural looks to bold and glamorous styles, our team will work with you to achieve the look you envision. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy being pampered!
3. What About Posing? I’m Nervous!
Don’t worry—posing is my specialty! During your session, I’ll guide you through every pose and adjust the lighting to ensure you look your absolute best.
My job is to highlight your unique beauty and help you feel like a supermodel for the day. Even if you’ve never been in front of a camera before, you’ll feel confident and empowered by the time we’re done!
4. How Long Does a Session Take?
A boudoir session is an experience, not just a photoshoot. Plan to spend 3-4 hours minimum with me at the studio.
This includes time for professional hair and makeup, outfit changes, and, of course, your photoshoot. It’s your time to be celebrated and pampered, so enjoy every moment!
5. How Long Does It Take to Get My Images?
I know you’ll be excited to see your photos, so I work hard to ensure a quick turnaround. Edited images are typically ready within 1-2 weeks of your session.
If you’ve chosen to create an album, production times vary depending on the style you select, but you can expect to receive your album within 5-15 business days.
6. Will My Images Be Shared?
Your privacy is extremely important to me. Images are only shared with your written permission.
Many of my clients have sensitive careers or prefer to keep their sessions private, and I take that trust very seriously. You’re in complete control of what happens with your images.
7. Where Do Sessions Take Place?
Sessions take place in my beautiful Downtown Norfolk studio, located in the heart of the city.
This isn’t just any studio—it’s the ONLY boudoir studio in Norfolk exclusively catering to boudoir photography. Every set has been thoughtfully designed to complement your photos and create a luxurious, one-of-a-kind experience.
8. What Happens After the Session?
About 1-2 weeks after your session, you’ll come back for your Unveiling—an exciting moment when you get to see your images for the first time.
During the Unveiling, you’ll have the chance to select your favorite images and choose products, including albums, prints, and wall art. We also offer flexible payment plans to make this process as accessible as possible, so you can walk away with the photos you love most.
Your boudoir session is a celebration of YOU—your confidence, beauty, and power. My goal is to make every step of the process enjoyable, from preparing your wardrobe to unveiling your stunning images.
If you have any other questions or need help preparing for your session, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to ensure your experience is nothing short of incredible.
