Did you know that we offer Couples Shibari Workshops in the studio?
We actually held our very first one in December 2021 and it quickly sold out. So, we added even more shibari classes! And after a lot of interest for another class that would build upon the skills learned in the first Shibari class, we began offering Shibari 201.
And whoa! The response we’ve had has been absolutely amazing! I really enjoy offering classes and workshops in the studio. In our babe cave, we talk about so many things and if I’m ever able to give insight on a topic, I absolutely will! I noticed a lot of our babes asking for rope bondage classes and I just so happened to know a Shibari expert!
Couples Shibari Workshops in Norfolk, Virginia
My baby mama (my fiancé’s ex wife) was totally up for teaching a Shibari Workshop in the studio! I am like a sponge and I love soaking up information. Shibari was definitely on my bucket list of things to learn and I am so fucking glad that I did!
I was not expecting to learn so much about myself, my partner, and our relationship! Shibari requires constant communication between you and your partner. And while Shibari can be sensual, your partner can be a romantic partner or a friend. Regardless, communication is key!
What Is Shibari?
Shibari is an ancient Japanese form of rope bondage. This artistic form of bondage is often used in BDSM play. A shibari scene includes a rigger/top and a bottom. Because shibari involves restraint and power dynamics; consent, trust, and boundaries are key to enjoying this erotic rope bondage. Shibari is an amazing way to build intimacy and trust with your partner.
