If the title didn’t clue you in, let me just say, we have had some huge changes on our end!
This past month has been filled with a ton of stress, a lot of surprises, and a lot of “oh no, I can’t do it!” moments! I will spare you all of the fun little details and give you the cliff notes version 😉
I knew my lease was coming to an end soon so I enlisted the help of an amazing commercial realtor to help me find a new studio. We searched and searched all over Virginia Beach but came up empty handed. I spent so many days and nights pouring over listings, only to end up feeling less than impressed with the spaces available.
Finally, after a ton of searching, I found the perfect spot! As soon as we walked in, I just knew it was all that I had hoped for.
I wish I had known just how much work I would be in for to make the actual location suitable for my needs!
After we viewed the location I had some serious doubts. It was at the top of my budget an in a location that I am not familiar with. I am not a Hampton Roads native and I am far more comfortable in Virginia Beach than I am in Downtown Norfolk. However, so many of my clients live in Ghent and the trek to the oceanfront can be a bit much!
A week after we viewed the space we faced an unexpected hurdle.
I walked into the studio to find it flooded just before a session. We had to move and it was as though the universe was making the decision for me.
This entire process has been so incredibly stressful. It has been filed with a lot of hard work and many long nights.
But when I got the keys and stepped in I knew I made the right decision.
Our brand spankin new Norfolk Boudoir Studio features gorgeous exposed brick, huge windows, and a stunning glossed concrete floor.
I could not have dreamed of a more perfect space and I am SO thrilled to call it home!!!
Expect to see more images of the new digs shortly, but for now, here you go!
