Day 4: Treat Yo’Self!
Self care is NECESSARY.
You are REQUIRED to make yourself a priority. You cannot pour from an empty cup. You cannot help others if you do not take the time to care for yourself.
Self care is starting therapy to get the tools to live a happier life.
Self care is saying no to that thing you said you would do but you really don’t have the time, energy, desire, etc.
Self care is getting 8 hours of sleep, drinking your water, and eating foods that fuel your body.
Self care is taking the time to get that mani/pedi/facial, because it helps you feel great about yourself.
Self care is escaping to your private oasis and taking a bath while you enjoy your favorite music or reading a book.
Self care is choosing to put yourself first so that you are the best version of you.
Self care is NOT selfish.
One of the easiest ways I show myself love is taking care of my body. I schedule my self care days on the same days that I have therapy and time off of work. This allows me to fully commit to myself. I looove baths and on these days I like to spend some time knocking out all of my personal grooming without rushing.
Today’s challenge is the easiest one you will do all week!
Day 4: Treat Yo’Self
Spend 1 hour doing something strictly for you!
Take yourself out for coffee and put your phone on silent. Take a nap. Stretch your body. Have a conversation with somebody that brings you joy. Take a bubble bath.
Whatever it is, do something simply because it will give you pleasure.
