I recently received an email from a client who is beyond nervous for her session. She felt that she couldn’t be sexy. She struggled with the idea that she could be viewed that way because of her size. How do you express sexuality and confidence when you don’t feel sexy or confident?
That’s a great question. I’m still working on it.
These last few months have been a journey towards self discovery for me. I have talked about my own personal struggles with self esteem and insecurities on the blog. I think that self love takes effort and needs to be nurtured. It will not happen overnight, but as long as you are trying you are moving forward! I find confidence through testing myself and seeing all that I am capable of. I find confidence in stepping outside of my comfort zones and trying something new.
I’m not there yet, but I am working on loving ALL of me. But let me tell you one thing…
Your dress size is the least most interesting thing about you. I want to know about what sets your soul on fire. I want to know what your dreams are. I want to know what you are fascinated by.
I’m the same size as my nervous client and I hope that she reads this and knows that she is not alone. We ALL have something we are self conscious about. But that is no excuse to not celebrate and love who we are at this moment.
So, here’s my butt 🙂
