For our own mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and close friends who helped to raise us and shape us. For all of those women with mother hearts that poured love and strength into our lives.

A mothers job is one of the hardest out there. It is often completed without praise. The chance to take a moment for yourself, to truly celebrate YOU because you deserve to be honored, is one we often will not do on our own.

During a maternity boudoir session we honor our bodies that have the awesome power to create life. We adapt daily, we are strong, we are resilient. As mothers, we add a depth to our power. Those are just bonus capabilities to the inherent beauty we already embody. We are also sensual, feminine, elegant.

I had the chance to bring in Miss H for a maternity boudoir session at our Norfolk, VA studio. This was a special opportunity to capture the beauty of one of the team members as she transitioned into the motherhood role. She has been here countless of times to lift and encourage you all for your sessions- it was time for her to have a chance to shine!

I have watched her grow over the years and have been overwhelmed with pride and joy for her! The day we did her session was Miss H’s due date, and creating art with this beautiful woman was wonderful. I love that we could channel so many different energies in the studio to capture all that she is.

She KILLED it. It is so important for moms to remind themselves of their badass power. Miss H was on FIRE – and we all can be.

We don’t stop being sensual beings when we become mothers. The boudoir experience can be a way to strip down and have a reminder of who we are authentically, without the sticky hands and mental load.
