Today is a bit bittersweet.
I get to share a gorgeous gal’s boudoir session with you all. But it also marks the beginning of a deployment for many Navy families.
I personally hate deployment. It sucks. There is seriously no other way to put it.
But there are things that we can do to pass the time.
And one thing I personally love being able to do is bring a couple some sort of joy through this journey.
Miss K is a gorgeous, intelligent, and hilarious ginger with a sweet southern accent 🙂
She is absolutely in love with her husband and so she decided to go out of her comfort zone for him.
When she came in for her session she had a list of things she didn’t like about her body.
She was nervous and excited at the same time.
And she was also determined to do something she didn’t ever think she would do: wear a thong for photos 🙂
I told her at the beginning that we would break her of that list of things that she doesn’t like.
And when she left, she felt amazing and comfortable (which makes me incredibly happy!).
Since her husband was deploying a week from her session we were a little bit worried about getting him his gift in time.
But within four days of her session her album arrived and she brought me a little treat.
Miss K arrived at my studio, hubby in tow.
I have personally never had the pleasure of witnessing a partner receiving their gift.
His reaction was absolutely priceless. I couldn’t even describe it if I wanted to.
Happy would be an understatement.
He was shocked, excited, and I could tell from the way he looked at her, so SO in love.
She never thought she would do something like this. HE never thought she would do something like this.
And after she left I received an email saying that he was in tears because he was so happy.
Miss K, you and your hubby hold a special place in my heart. Thank you SO much for giving me that experience.
And I wish you two the best of luck in your endeavors!
Thank you for gracing my camera with your gorgeous self 😉
