I apologize for the late post.
I ended up passing out while watching 1984. It was a busy day.
And I had the craziest dream.
I was actually in the bleak world that George Orwell had created.
But my day was anything but bleak.
I woke up this morning to head out to Hale Iwa and meet Noelle from It’s a Wild Life Photography.
It was beautiful out!
I cannot tell you how nice it was to just relax and talk shop.
Because it was bright and sunny out, I decided to try and get my metering down.
This weekend I shoot my first wedding.
At noon.
Near a beach.
I am a little worried to say the least.
Noelle and I spent some time trying out the different metering modes on our cameras.
I will be honest, metering is something I struggle with.
When I had just started out and didn’t know much about it, things were solid.
But know that I know all about it, I can’t get it right.
I spend a majority (okay, pretty much all) of my time looking up photography stuff. I am tempted to stop and just wing it.
That tends to work out the best.
I focus a lot on the technical side of things and it is starting to consume me.
No bueno.
I end up losing the creative aspect that I picked up the camera to capture.
Anyways,
I am hoping for clouds in the sky or a shady place to do the formal shots.
I will be heading down there tomorrow to check out the location.
I wrapped my day with lunch with a past client turned friend 🙂
And we tried to get our dogs to play together.
I know they had good intentions, but I don’t think the boys realize just how big they are. They are both weighing in around 80lbs, but think the are 20lbs.
And Roxy wasn’t having any of that.
I swear, Kato has no luck with the ladies.
