Miss H is no stranger to our studio. But, this was her first couples boudoir session in our Norfolk studio!
We first met after her husband gifted her with a boudoir session gift certificate. H+J had been talking about sending photos to each other for SO long. But, she had some reservations about taking that time off and making an investment in herself. As mothers, we give so much to our families. It is so easy to leave nothing left for ourselves!
This was her FOURTH session with me. However, it was the very first that she brought her husband in for!

Each session is like witnessing an evolution. As she grows from each experience, I have the pleasure of meeting a woman who begins to stand more and more firmly in herself. Most importantly, the love and confidence she has grown for herself has propelled her SO much. From personal relationships to big career moves and everything in between!
Watching the powerful transformation that this newfound confidence has on people will forever be my one of my favorite things about being a boudoir photographer.
Her couples boudoir session was unlike any other session we have had together.
Being dual military, it can be VERY hard for them to find downtime to connect.
The day of their session they excitedly arrived at our Norfolk Boudoir Studio, drinks and outfits in tow!
First, we decided to start their session with a date night vibe. I always recommend that couples bring something that best represents them on their best date night for their session. In return, you will not only feel most confident and sexy in your outfits. But, seeing your partner all dolled up helps so much in building the chemistry!

Why did you decide that you wanted to do a boudoir session?
Omg, this was my FOURTH session…and I loved it just as much as the others! This one though… A couples shoot with my man! What a hot way to explore each other!!
What made you decide to hire me as your photographer?
In the time I have known you… Since my first shoot in 2018… I felt this bond/connection with you! I love the passion you put into your clients, to your craft, to yourself! You not only take beautiful photos, you engage mentally and make your clients feel accepted… You make the entire experience have meaning.
How were you feeling before your shoot? Any thoughts going through your head?
Bringing my man in was different…I wasn’t sure how he was going to do. And, I wanted to keep him involved from outfits, to props and even music choice!
Now that you’ve had your own photo shoot, how was it?
Seriously…best shoot ever!!! Dressing up and dressing down with my hot hubby…such an amazing experience!
What would you say to someone considering doing a boudoir shoot?
Do. It. I didn’t use to understand how important it was to invest in me, do things for me. This is an experience that will awaken parts of you that you didn’t know were there…and parts that were just asleep. Wake up that Goddess inside…let her strut her stuff…and get photos to remind you that she is there! You will not regret it. I promise.
