When I went to Las Vegas for WPPI, I had the chance to photograph Brenna for a session that felt like such a natural fit.
Brenna is part of the voice behind Front Porch Swingers, and photographing her felt like the perfect intersection of so much of what I love most about this work: confidence, erotic self expression, bold femininity, trust, and the kind of energy that happens when somebody gives themselves permission to be fully seen.

But I already knew I wanted to share a little glimpse into this session because it speaks to something I want more people to understand:
There is absolutely space here for adventurous, sex positive, non monogamous, and lifestyle clients who want imagery that feels elevated, intentional, discreet, and hot as hell.
Why a boudoir session is great for lifestyle couples
So many people in the lifestyle and non monogamous community move through the world online, connecting with people digitally before they ever meet face to face. Having images that represent who you are as a person helps authentically represent who you are.
First impressions are everything. A picture says 1000 words. Being able to showcase who you are though your style, your expression, and how you carry yourself is something that we can showcase through boudoir photography.
With care.
With taste.
With direction.
With somebody who understands that sexuality is not something to flatten or sanitize into something more socially acceptable.
For some people, these images are for themselves.
For some, they are for a partner.
For some, they are part of reclaiming confidence after a major life shift.
For some, they are about celebrating a season of freedom, power, pleasure, or reinvention.
And for many of my clients, they are all of those things at once!
Brenna’s reason was powerful
One of the things Brenna shared about why she booked this experience was that after losing 100 pounds, she wanted to get her sexy back and see her body through the lens of someone she trusted to highlight the hard work she had put in.
When your body changes, it often takes the mind some time to catch up. I find that boudoir can be tremendously helpful in giving you a real time perspective of who you are and how you present. When you see yourself represented as a powerful and confident person, it becomes some much easier to access that part of you.
So often people wait until they feel “ready” enough to be photographed.
They want to be confident enough…
Toned enough…
Certain enough….
But sometimes the session is the thing that helps you finally see yourself clearly.
Sometimes the experience becomes proof that the version of you you’ve been working toward is already here. You just have to show it to yourself.
What drew her in
Brenna said she had seen my work on Instagram and that what drew her in was the way I use light and the way I compliment each person’s body. She also shared that the communication leading up to the shoot made her feel at ease and confident walking into a professional environment.
I freaking LOVE that! We put a lot of care into our communication.
I care deeply about creating an experience where people can exhale. This is supposed to be a stress free experience. I have been doing this every day for the last 16 years of my life. You probably have not…My job is to take care of the logistics so that you can enjoy an experience focused on connection, be it with yourself or your partner.
When I’m working with clients who may be successful, visible, high achieving, highly private, or used to keeping parts of themselves contained, finding a space to let go can be difficult.
Especially when they are trusting me with parts of themselves that do not get shown to just anyone.
Process is powerful in taking out the guesswork.
For lifestyle clients, comfort is everything
One of my favorite things Brenna shared was that she was surprised by how comfortable she felt being in vulnerable positions with someone new, and that by the end of the session, she hadn’t even really thought about the fact that she had been mostly naked in front of a virtual stranger. She said that came down to the energy I brought into the room being comforting and fun.
Comfort is everything!!!
The images matter, of course.
But the environment matters too.
The right environment changes everything!!!
For sex positive clients, swingers, and non monogamous clients, there can be so much nuance around privacy, expression, discretion, confidence, and how much of yourself you want to reveal. You need a photographer who can hold all of that without making it weird, stiff, or performative.
You need somebody who knows how to guide without overpowering.
Somebody who can create heat without forcing it.
Somebody who understands that chemistry is not about barking poses at people. It is about creating enough safety that desire can actually breathe.
The confidence piece hits differently
Brenna also shared something that I think will hit home for a lot of people. After seeing her images, she realized her body looked even better than she had believed. She said the photos reflected the hard work she had been putting in and that the sense of accomplishment would have a lasting impact on her confidence.
That is one of the most powerful parts of why a boudoir session can be so beneficial for your confidence.
Images can interrupt the lie your brain wants to tell itself.
The lie that your progress isn’t real.
The lie that your body is not worthy right now.
The lie that you need to move the goalpost.
Sometimes you need to see yourself from the outside to realize just how much power you’ve already built.
For clients who travel in or book me while I travel
This session also reflects something that has become a meaningful part of my brand:
people travel for this experience.
Sometimes I travel to photograph clients.
Sometimes clients fly in to work with me.
Sometimes we meet in a city that feels electric and indulgent and a little outside the routine of everyday life.
There is something incredibly powerful about creating a session inside that container.
When you travel for an experience like this, it becomes a turning point.
A marker in time.
A reclamation.
A gift to yourself.
A memory tied to a place, a version of you, and a season you never want to forget.
For my clients who are experience-driven, adventurous, and looking for something more intentional than a basic photo shoot, that matters.
A note for lifestyle and non monogamous clients
If you are part of the lifestyle community, ethically non monogamous, kinky, curious, or simply somebody who wants a photographer who understands nuance around sexuality and self expression, you are welcome here.
You do not have to water yourself down to be photographed beautifully.
You do not have to explain away your desire to want images that feel more erotic, more editorial, more charged, or more like you.
You do not have to fit a sanitized mold to deserve luxury.
You just need the right space and the right photographer.
