Hi, I'm LeZandra

Six months ago, I was in Las Vegas teaching at WPPI during the Boudoir Summit, standing in front of a sold-out room of photographers and preparing to teach one of the biggest classes of my career.

Even now, that sentence feels surreal.

WPPI is the worlds largest photography conference. Never in a million years did I see myself teaching there!!! But life has a funny way of working out for you! To know that my name is spoken highly of in rooms I am not even in yet truly means the WORLD to me.

There is something wild about stepping onto a stage at the world’s largest photography conference to teach something so intimate, so nuanced, and so deeply rooted in trust.

Couples connection is not just about posing people so they look good together. It is about reading body language, creating safety, building tension, guiding emotion, and helping two people feel something real in front of a camera.

And right before I went on stage, everything that could go wrong did.

I had not slept in 47 hours. I was a nervous wreck. My body was running on adrenaline, instinct, and pure determination. Then thirty minutes before showtime, I found out the model for my couples boudoir workshop was not comfortable.

So there I was, about to teach a couples connection class with a couple that was not even a couple, right before stepping in front of a sold-out room at WPPI.

No pressure.

That moment could have unraveled everything.

Instead, it reminded me of something I have learned again and again over 15 years in this industry: I am not starting from scratch. I am starting from experience.

Experience is what teaches you how to pivot without collapsing.
Experience is what teaches you how to lead even when your nerves are screaming.
Experience is what reminds you that the work is not about perfection. It is about presence.

That day pushed me to trust what I know.

It reminded me that being an authority does not mean everything goes exactly according to plan. It means you know how to hold the room when it does not. It means you know how to guide people through discomfort, redirect energy, and still create something meaningful on the other side of chaos.

And honestly, that is the same thing I do for my clients.

People often think what I create is about the images alone, but it is so much bigger than that. My work has always been about building an experience that lets someone drop their guard, feel held, and step into a version of themselves that has maybe been buried under stress, routine, self-doubt, or survival mode.

Teaching at WPPI was one expression of that.

Penthouse Pleasures was another.

After the intensity of teaching, I had the chance to step into something different creatively. I booked a penthouse on a whim, determined to create the photo shoot of my dreams with models I had admired and always wanted to work with. I wanted drama. I wanted luxury. I wanted sensuality. I wanted the kind of electric, collaborative energy that reminds you why you fell in love with creating in the first place.

And that night delivered.

The energy inside that penthouse was unreal. Photographers at different stages of their journey. Models bringing their own power, artistry, and presence into the space. Ideas moving fast. Music, movement, lights, chaos, beauty. I was all over the place, trying to help someone, hold a light, stop bubbles, support the flow, and soak up every second of it.

We had a KILLER lineup of talent.

AVN Hall of Fame model Phoenix Marie and Actor Quinton James were our perfect couple for the evening.

It was one of those nights that goes by far too fast while you are in it.

But what stays with me now is not just the imagery. It is the feeling.

We also had the stunning Ruby Roxx modeling. I have been following her since the early days of my boudoir business. To finally be able to work with her. Priceless. Her energy is just so infectious and I just adore her.

It is the reminder that I love creating spaces where people get to expand.
Where artists get to experiment.
Where people feel safe enough to try something bold.
Where collaboration sharpens everybody in the room.
Where beauty and pressure and imperfection all coexist, and somehow, magic still happens.

Ruby Roxx, Kierra Leilani, and Jazmyn Braughton were just the most beautiful muses.

That is what Penthouse Pleasures felt like to me.

Not just a shootout.
Not just a beautiful location.
Not just a collection of gorgeous images.

It felt like creative permission.
It felt like leadership in motion.
It felt like proof that some of the most unforgettable experiences come from trusting your vision enough to build the room and invite the right people into it.

Six months later, I can see that both of those moments in Vegas were connected.

Teaching at WPPI reminded me of the depth of my experience.
Penthouse Pleasures reminded me of the breadth of my creativity.

One called me into leadership under pressure.
The other called me back into play, collaboration, and artistic expansion.

Both reminded me why I do this.

I do not just take photographs.

I create environments where people get to meet themselves differently.
I create experiences that ask for trust, but give something back in return.
I lead with instinct, intention, and the kind of earned confidence that only comes from doing this work again and again and again.

And if there is one thing Las Vegas gave me six months ago, it is this:

Magic does not require perfect conditions.
Sometimes it asks for exhaustion, improvisation, courage, and a willingness to trust yourself anyway.

That is where some of the best work of your life gets made.
