For those of you who do not know, I’m an Arkansas native.

I was born there and spent a large part of my life in the south.

If you get me around a southerner you will hear that country twang start to come out.

I will be going back home for a very special reason.

In August, my four year old niece Ki’Nani will be having brain surgery for the second time. To say she is a trooper would be an understatement. Her strength inspires me and her love for life warms my heart. I love this little girl so much, and I want nothing more than to be there when she wakes up after surgery.

She is so silly 🙂

Ki’Nani has Arnold Chiari Malformation. The cause of which is unknown. She will be having surgery to remove another vertebrae from her spine, remove parts of her brain stem, and parts of her skull will be shaved off.

She is the most bad ass four year old I have ever met.

I will be going home for Ki’Nani’s surgery during the first week of August. I would love to book a few sessions while I am down there.

Fifty perfect of all proceeds from shoots booked while in Arkansas will go towards Conquer Chiari, an organization dedicated to Chiari research, awareness, and support.

My sister has done such an amazing job putting together the second annual walk. I was so glad I was able to attend the first one she organized last year.
