Something that I have always loved doing is teaching and helping others learn about photography.
It is something I love so much and I will gladly talk ISO with anybody willing to listen 🙂
Back in Hawaii my husband had duty with somebody interested in photography.
I was so excited to meet her! And I asked her to come along to shoot a boudoir session with me.
I have to say, Shannon Forbes has hands down been the best reflector holder I have ever had to date.
She was so incredibly helpful during Jill’s session. And she soaked up everything I told her like a sponge.
I handed over my camera to her and watched her do her thing. I think most photographers are hands on learners.
We met up later at the Coffee Gallery (which will always be my favorite coffee shop on the planet!) to go over her images and so I could show her how I edit.
I was very impressed with her work. She had it! She had an amazing eye and you could see that there was more greatness to come from her.
Shannon ended up moving to San Francisco to go to the Art Institute after she left the Navy.
I have to say, I was super jealous. San Fran is another city that holds my heart.
She returned to Hawaii and she had been creating some amazing images.
If I ever return, I know I am going to hit her up.
Shannon’s images are fresh, fun, vibrant, and show off love in it’s purest form.
She is extremely talented and I know I am not alone when I say that I am enjoying watching her grow!
Check out Shannon’s work!

Thank you, LeZandra! I have learned so much from you and I appreciate you answering all my questions about photography and business!! I honestly don’t know if I’d be where I am today without you as a resource. 🙂
